If you are driving from Hengifoss Waterfall to Búðarárfoss, start by heading back to Route 1 (the Ring Road). From Hengifoss, take the road back towards Egilsstaðir. Once you reach Route 1, turn left (east) towards Reyðarfjörður. Continue on Route 1 for about 24 kilometers, then take the exit towards Reyðarfjörður. After entering the town, follow the signs towards Búðará. The waterfall is located at the coordinates 65.0419798, -14.2006479. There is no specific fee for parking at the waterfall, but ensure your vehicle is parked safely and legally.

To reach Búðarárfoss using public transportation, take a bus from Egilsstaðir to Reyðarfjörður. You will need to check the local bus schedule for the exact departure times.
