Car
From Hengifoss Waterfall, head south on Road 1 (the Ring Road) for approximately 20 kilometers. After passing Egilsstaðir, continue on Road 1 until you reach the turnoff for Road 931 towards Stuðlagil Canyon. Follow Road 931 for about 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the canyon. From the parking area, it is a short hike (approximately 1.5 kilometers) to reach Stuðlafoss Waterfall. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear as the path can be rocky and uneven.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, take a bus from Egilsstaðir to the stop near the Stuðlagil Canyon. Check the schedule in advance, as services may be limited. Once you arrive at the bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 2.5 kilometers to the parking area for Stuðlafoss Waterfall. Ensure you have a map or GPS device to help navigate the route, as it may not be clearly marked.
