Car
From Hengifoss Waterfall, head back towards the main road, Route 1 (the Ring Road). Turn right onto Route 1 and drive approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Route 923. Turn left onto Route 923 and follow the signs towards Stuðlagil. Continue on Route 923 for about 10 kilometers, where you will find a parking area near the Stuðlafoss Waterfall trailhead. Note that the road may be gravel, so drive cautiously.

From Hengifoss Waterfall, you will need to return to Egilsstaðir. You can take a local bus or taxi service back to Egilsstaðir (check the local bus schedule as it may be limited). Once in Egilsstaðir, look for a bus service that travels towards Stuðlagil (Route 923). Confirm the bus schedule and make sure to have the exact stop for Stuðlagil. After arriving at the stop, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to the waterfall, following the marked trail.
