Car
From the nearest major town, Egilsstaðir, head west on Route 1 (the Ring Road). After approximately 40 km, take a left onto Route 931 towards Laugafell. Continue on Route 931 for about 30 km until you reach the junction to Route 32. Turn left onto Route 32 and follow it for about 15 km. You will see signs for Laugafell indicating you are nearing the destination. As you approach, keep an eye out for the well-marked parking area and entrance to the Laugafell mountain cabin.

Public Transportation
If you are traveling by bus, take a bus from Reykjavik to Egilsstaðir operated by Strætó (Iceland’s public transport). Once you arrive in Egilsstaðir, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a local shuttle service to get to Laugafell, as there are no direct public transport options. Expect to pay around ISK 15,000-20,000 for a taxi from Egilsstaðir to Laugafell, and make sure to book in advance.
