Starting from the center of Húsavík, head south on Aðalgata street towards the coast. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Þingeyrar street. Turn left onto Þingeyrar street and walk for approximately 1 kilometer. Look for the signs indicating the trailhead to Húsavíkurfjall. The trailhead is located near the end of Þingeyrar street, where you will find a small parking area and a clear path leading up the mountain.

Alternatively, if you are near the Húsavík Whale Museum, head east towards the coast. From there, follow the coastal path that leads to the base of Húsavíkurfjall. This route offers beautiful views of the sea and the surrounding area. Once you reach the base, look for the marked trail that ascends the mountain.
