Walking
From the center of Hveragerdi, head south on Aðalstræti towards the main road, Route 1. After about 500 meters, turn left onto Route 1. Continue walking on Route 1 for approximately 9 kilometers. You will pass through beautiful Icelandic landscapes. Keep an eye out for signs leading to Ægissíðufoss Waterfall. The waterfall will be located on your right side. Follow the path that leads to the waterfall, where you can enjoy the stunning views.
Bicycle
If you have a bicycle, you can take the same route as walking. Start from the center of Hveragerdi, cycling south on Aðalstræti until you reach Route 1. Then turn left onto Route 1 and cycle for about 9 kilometers. The path is relatively flat and scenic, making it an enjoyable ride. Look for directional signs to Ægissíðufoss Waterfall as you approach the site, which will be on your right. Park your bicycle at the designated area near the waterfall.
Public Transport
Currently, there are no direct buses from Hveragerdi to Ægissíðufoss Waterfall. However, you can take a bus from Hveragerdi to Hella, which is approximately a 15-minute ride. Once you arrive in Hella, you will need to walk. Head south from the bus stop on Route 1 for about 2 kilometers until you reach the waterfall. Look for signs indicating the direction of Ægissíðufoss Waterfall along the way.
