Walking
From the center of Hveragerdi, start at the main square near the Hveragerdi Church. Head south on Aðalstræti towards the intersection with Brekkugata. Turn left onto Brekkugata and continue straight until you reach the bus stop for Route 3, which goes towards Kópavogur. Board the bus and take it to the Kópavogur stop. Once you disembark, Heiðmörk National Forest is about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop. Head east on Kópavogurvegur, then turn left onto a small path that leads directly into Heiðmörk.

You can check the bus schedules on the local transport website or app. Once you arrive in Kópavogur, get off at the stop closest to Heiðmörk. From there, it’s a short walk.
