Getting There

Walking
From the center of Hveragerdi, head east on Aðalgata street towards the main road (Route 1). Once you reach the main road, turn left (north) and walk for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 35. Continue straight on Route 35 for another 1.5 kilometers, and you will see signs for Kerid Crater on your right. Follow the signs, and you will reach the entrance to Kerid Crater.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can rent one in Hveragerdi. Start from the town center and head east on Aðalgata towards Route 1. Turn left onto Route 1 and cycle north for about 1.5 kilometers. When you reach the junction with Route 35, continue straight for another 1.5 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Kerid Crater; the entrance will be on your right.
