From Hveragerdi, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on the main road (Þjóðvegur 1). Look for the bus stop named 'Hveragerði'. Take Bus number 51 towards Laugarvatn. This bus runs regularly, so check the schedule in advance. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Laugarvatn bus stop, it is a short walk to Laugarvatn Fontana, located at Laugarbraut, 840 Laugarvatn.

Bicycle
For a more active option, you can rent a bicycle in Hveragerdi. Head east on Road 1 (Þjóðvegur 1) from the center of Hveragerdi. Follow the road for about 25 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Look for signs that indicate the turn towards Laugarvatn Fontana, which is located on Laugarbraut in Laugarvatn. The ride may take around 1.5 hours depending on your cycling speed.

If you prefer walking, start from the center of Hveragerdi and head towards Road 1 (Þjóðvegur 1). It is a long walk, approximately 25 kilometers, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Follow Road 1 heading east, and look for signs directing you to Laugarvatn. Once you reach Laugarvatn, continue to Laugarbraut, where Laugarvatn Fontana is located. This could take about 5-6 hours, so plan accordingly.
