Car
From Fimmvorduhals Pass, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading towards Laugarvatn. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 30 kilometers. Look for the sign for Laugarvatn and turn onto Route 37. Follow Route 37 for about 10 kilometers until you reach Laugarvatnshellir. The Cave People - Laugarvatnshellar will be located at Laugarvatnshellir, 840 Laugarvatn. There is parking available near the site.
Public Transportation
If using public transportation, take a bus from Reykjavik to Laugarvatn. You can catch a bus from the BSÍ Bus Terminal in Reykjavik. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Laugarvatn, the Cave People - Laugarvatnshellar is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Head southeast along Route 37, and you will find the site at Laugarvatnshellir.
