Walking
Start from the center of Hveragerdi, at the main square. Head north on Aðalstræti street. Continue straight for about 200 meters until you reach the intersection with Lækjargata. Turn right onto Lækjargata and walk for another 300 meters. You will pass a few local shops and cafes along the way. At the next major intersection, turn left onto Hveragerðisvegur. Continue for about 1 kilometer, following the signs towards Reykjavík. After 20 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the Hveragerdi bus stop. From there, take the bus number 1 or 3 towards Reykjavík. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once in Reykjavík, get off at the stop 'Aðalstræti.' The Settlement Exhibition is located at Aðalstræti 16, just a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.
Bus
From the center of Hveragerdi, walk to the nearest bus stop, Hveragerði. Board the bus number 1 or 3 heading towards Reykjavík. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Reykjavík, disembark at the 'Aðalstræti' stop. The Settlement Exhibition is just a 5-minute walk away at Aðalstræti 16.
