Walking
If you are in the center of Hveragerði, start at the main church (Hveragerðiskirkja) located at the intersection of Þjóðvegur and Ráðhúsgata. From there, head south on Þjóðvegur street for about 200 meters until you reach the main square with shops and cafes. Continue straight past the square, and follow the road signs towards the geothermal park.
Walking
To visit the geothermal park, from the main square, walk east along the main road (Varmá) for approximately 1 kilometer. You will see signs for the park, which is on your left. The park features hot springs and is a popular spot for tourists.
Bus
If you prefer public transport, check the local bus schedule at the bus stop near the main square (810 Hveragerði). Buses frequently run to nearby attractions and Reykjavik. Purchase a ticket from the driver, and keep an eye on the route map posted at the bus stop.
Walking
For a scenic walk, head towards the Reykjadalur valley. From the main square, take the road leading to the valley, which is about 3 kilometers away. Follow the signs for Reykjadalur. The path will take you past beautiful landscapes and hot springs along the way.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, there are local rental shops in the center of Hveragerði. Rent a bicycle and follow the paths along the river Varmá, which leads you to various natural attractions and scenic viewpoints.
