Walking
Start from the center of Ísafjörður, at the main square (Torg). Head northwest on Aðalstræti street, which is the main street. Continue walking straight for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Álftagerði. Turn right onto Álftagerði and follow this road for about 500 meters until you reach the base of the mountain. Look for the trailhead signs that lead to Naustahvilft. The hike will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on your pace.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle in Ísafjörður and start from the main square. Ride northwest on Aðalstræti and then turn right onto Álftagerði. Continue cycling until you reach the trailhead for Naustahvilft. The cycling distance is about 1.5 km and should take around 10-15 minutes. From the trailhead, you will need to hike for another 30-45 minutes to reach Naustahvilft.
