Bus
To reach Tjörnin (located in Reykjavík) from Keflavik, start by walking to the nearest bus stop, which is 'Keflavik Airport'. Catch the Strætó bus number 55, heading to Reykjavík. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Hlemmur', which is a central bus station in Reykjavík. Once you arrive at Hlemmur, walk towards the east for about 10 minutes until you reach Tjörnin, a beautiful lake located right in the heart of the city.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Keflavik to Tjörnin in Reykjavík. Taxis are available outside the airport. The ride will take about 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Simply inform the driver to take you to Tjörnin, which is a well-known landmark in Reykjavík, located at 101 Reykjavík.
Shuttle Service
You can also use a shuttle service from Keflavik Airport to Reykjavík. Once you arrive at the airport, look for shuttle service counters in the arrivals hall. Book a seat on a shuttle heading to Reykjavík. The shuttle will drop you off at a central location, and from there, you can either walk or take a short taxi ride to Tjörnin. Walking from the drop-off point will take approximately 20 minutes.
