Public Bus
From the center of Kopavogur, head to the nearest bus stop (e.g., at the Kopavogur Town Hall). Take bus number 1 towards 'Höfðabakki.' Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the 'Borgarfjörður' stop. From the bus stop, walk for about 10 minutes towards the Borgarfjörður area, following signs to the water. You should be able to see the scenic views as you approach.
Walking
If you are near the Kopavogur swimming pool, you can start your walk from there. Head east towards the main road, Suðurlandsvegur. Turn left and walk along the road, passing the local shops and cafes. Continue straight for about 3 kilometers until you reach Borgarfjörður. This walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, and you will enjoy seeing local life along the way.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Kopavogur. Start from the rental shop and head east along Suðurlandsvegur. Cycle straight for about 3 kilometers towards Borgarfjörður. The bike ride will take around 15-20 minutes, and you can enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery along the route.
