From any location in Kopavogur, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for the bus number 55, which travels towards Grindavik. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride, which takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Keep an eye out for the stop named 'Grindavik' or ask the driver to alert you when you reach Grindavik. Once you arrive, get off the bus and walk towards Suðurstrandarvegur. The Fagradalsfjall Volcano is located a short 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the road signs towards the volcano.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Kopavogur. Proceed to the main road heading towards Grindavik, following the designated bike lanes. The ride will take about an hour, so make sure to pack water and snacks. As you approach Grindavik, look for signs for Suðurstrandarvegur.
