From the center of Kopavogur, head to the nearest bus stop, which is typically located on the main road (Borgarvegur). Take bus number 1 towards Reykjavik. Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the 'Kopavogur - Kópavogur' stop. From there, transfer to bus number 57 that goes to Krýsuvík. This bus will take you directly to the geothermal area. The total travel time should be around 40-50 minutes depending on bus schedules.
Walking
