Getting There

Car
From Langjökull Glacier, drive southeast on Route 35 (Búðardalsvegur) for approximately 15 km until you reach the junction with Route 1. Turn left onto Route 1 (Þjóðvegur) heading east. Continue on Route 1 for about 40 km until you see the signs for Ytri Tunga. Take the exit toward Ytri Tunga, and follow the road signs for 10 km until you arrive at the Ytri Tunga parking area. Make sure to park in the designated space.
