From Akureyri, drive south on Route 1 for about 60 km until you reach the town of Blönduós. Exit onto Route 75 towards Húnavatnssýsla. Continue on Route 75 for approximately 30 km, then take a left onto Heiðmerkurvegur road. Þjóðhátíðarlundur is located at Heiðmerkurvegur, 161, approximately 5 minutes from your turn. There is no toll on this route.
