If you are driving, start your journey on Route 1 (the Ring Road) in North Iceland. From Akureyri, head west on Route 1 towards Blönduós. After approximately 90 kilometers, take the exit onto Route 68 towards Víðidalstunga. Continue on Route 68 for about 30 kilometers until you reach the turn-off towards Kolugljúfur Canyon, which is marked with signs. Drive carefully on the gravel road leading to the canyon. There is free parking available near the canyon entrance.
