Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, which is Reykjavik. Take Route 1 (the Ring Road) northbound. After approximately 50 km, take the exit onto Route 43 towards Hafnarfjörður. Continue on Route 43 until you reach Hafnarfjörður. From Hafnarfjörður, follow Route 1 heading towards the town of Hafnir. Once you arrive in Hafnir, look for signs directing you towards Hafnarberg - Sea-cliffs. There is a designated parking area close to the cliffs where you can park your vehicle. The coordinates for the location are approximately 63.8814° N, 22.7370° W.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, begin at the BSI Bus Terminal in Reykjavik. Look for a bus service that operates to Hafnarfjörður. One option is the Strætó bus service. You will need to check local schedules for the most current routes and times. Once you arrive in Hafnarfjörður, transfer to a local bus or consider a taxi to reach Hafnarberg. Buses may not run directly to Hafnarberg, so taking a taxi from Hafnarfjörður may be necessary, which can cost around 5,000-10,000 ISK depending on the distance. Ensure to check the bus schedules in advance as they vary by day and time.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Reykjavik directly to Hafnarberg - Sea-cliffs. This option is more expensive, typically costing around 15,000-20,000 ISK, but it provides convenience as you won't have to worry about transfers. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. The driver will take you via Route 1 and Route 43 directly to Hafnarfjörður, then follow local roads to Hafnarberg.
Use Hafnarberg - Sea-cliffs as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
