To reach Kakalaskáli by car, start from Akureyri, the largest city in North Iceland. Head west on Route 1 (the Ring Road) for about 42 km until you reach Varmahlíð. At the Varmahlíð intersection, turn onto Route 75 towards Skagafjörður. Continue for approximately 8 km, then turn left onto Kringlumýri road. Follow this road for about 1 km until you see the Kakalaskáli, located at Kringlumýri, Akrahreppur, 561, Varmahlíð. Ensure your vehicle is equipped for rural roads, especially in winter, as conditions can be challenging.
