If you are traveling by car, head to Route 1 (the Ring Road) if you are not already on it. Drive towards the town of Selfoss. From Selfoss, take Route 35 towards Þingvellir National Park. Continue on Route 35 until you reach the junction with Route 36. Take Route 36 until you reach Route 1 again, then take a left onto Route 1 heading towards Reykjavík. After about 45 kilometers, take the exit towards Selatangar, which is near the coastal area. Once you arrive at the Selatangar area, you can park your car in designated parking spots nearby.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Akureyri or other major towns in North Iceland towards Reykjavík. Check the schedules of Strætó, the public bus service. Once you arrive in Reykjavík, you will need to transfer to a bus heading towards Selfoss. From Selfoss, you will need to take a taxi to reach Selatangar as there is no direct public bus service to this location.
