If you are driving, head towards the town of Húsavík, located on the north coast. From Húsavík, take Route 1 (also known as the Ring Road) heading west. Continue on Route 1 until you reach Route 85. Take the exit onto Route 85 towards Þjóðveldisbærinn. After approximately 10 km, follow the signs to Þjóðveldisbærinn (The Commonwealth farm), which will be on your left. Make sure to check your fuel level as gas stations can be sparse in rural areas.

To reach The Commonwealth farm via public transport, take a bus from Akureyri to Húsavík. Buses are operated by Strætó (www.straeto.is).
