Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards the town of Egilsstaðir, which is a major hub in the Northeastern Region. From Egilsstaðir, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading west. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 50 kilometers. Look for the signs for Route 93 towards Mývatn. Turn onto Route 93 and follow it for about 15 kilometers. • Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from the nearest town, Egilsstaðir, which is well-connected by bus services. You can check the bus schedules on the Strætó website. From Egilsstaðir, take a bus heading towards Mývatn and get off at the nearest bus stop to Iceland Yurt. Depending on the bus route, you may need to walk approximately 5-10 kilometers from the bus stop to reach Iceland Yurt. Be sure to check the bus return schedules to avoid getting stranded.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Egilsstaðir to Iceland Yurt. Although this option may be more expensive, it provides door-to-door service.
