Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from any location in the Northeastern Region, first head towards Route 1 (the Ring Road). Follow Route 1 southwest until you reach Route 43, which will lead you into Reykjavík. Once in Reykjavík, take the exit onto Sæbraut. The Sun Voyager is located along this road. Look for the large sculpture by the waterfront, which is easy to spot. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that some areas may require payment.

  To reach the Sun Voyager using public transport, first find a bus service that operates from your current location to Reykjavík. The bus company Strætó operates services throughout Iceland, and you can check their schedule online. Upon arriving at the main bus terminal in Reykjavík (BSI), you can either walk or take a local bus. If walking, head towards Sæbraut; it's about a 30-minute walk. Alternatively, take bus number 12 or 14 towards Sæbraut, and get off at the nearest stop to the sculpture.
