If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Varmahlíð. Head west on Route 1 (the Ring Road) and continue for about 3 kilometers. At the junction, take the exit onto Route 75 towards Skagafjörður. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will see a small sign indicating Víðimýrarkirkja. Follow the sign, which will lead you to a gravel road. Drive down the gravel road for about 1 kilometer until you reach Víðimýrarkirkja. There is parking available near the church.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Akureyri to Varmahlíð. Buses operate on a limited schedule, so make sure to check the timetable in advance. Once you arrive in Varmahlíð, you will need to take a taxi or a local shuttle service to reach Víðimýrarkirkja, which is about 13 kilometers away. Be sure to arrange for your return transport as taxis might not be readily available.
