If you are driving from the main town of Reykjanesbær, start on Route 41 and head southwest towards Grindavík. After about 20 minutes, take the exit onto Route 43 towards Sandvík. Continue on Route 43 for approximately 15 minutes. When you reach the fork in the road, keep to the right to stay on Froad Sandvíkurslóði. Stóra Sandvík will be on your left side after a few minutes of driving. Parking is available near the site.
