Getting there

Walking

From the center of Hlíðar, head towards Laugavegur street. Walk north along this main street until you reach the intersection with Snorrabraut. Turn left onto Snorrabraut and continue walking straight until you reach the coastline. Once you see the water, head right and follow the coastal path. You will eventually come to the Höfði Lighthouse located near the Hofdi House, at Félagstún, 105 Reykjavík. The walk should take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.

Public Bus

If you prefer to take public transportation, you can catch bus number 14 from any bus stop in Hlíðar heading towards 'Höfði' or 'Höfðatorg'. The bus ride should take about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Höfði stop, it’s a short 5-minute walk to the lighthouse. Just head towards the waterfront and follow the path around to the lighthouse. Please check the bus schedule for exact times, and remember to buy a ticket before boarding, which costs around 490 ISK.
