Bus
From Selfoss, walk to the Selfoss Bus Station located on the corner of Þórsgata and Ráðhústorg. Take the bus number 51 towards Hafnarfjörður. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Hafnarfjörður - Búðavogur', which is the closest stop to Leiðarendi Lava Cave. From the bus stop, walk southeast along Búðavogur street, then turn left onto Snorrabraut. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Hraunborgir. Turn right and continue straight for about 800 meters. The entrance to the Leiðarendi Lava Cave will be on your left.

If you prefer to walk from the center of Selfoss, head towards the main road, Þjórsárvegur, and continue northwest towards Hafnarfjörður. It’s approximately a 6-7 km walk, which will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow the road signs towards Hafnarfjörður, and once you reach the outskirts of the town, look for signs leading to the Leiðarendi Lava Cave. Make sure to stay on the paths and sidewalks for safety.
