Walking

Start at the main square in Seydisfjordur, near the church (Seyðisfjarðarkirkja). Head east along the Seyðisfjarðavegur road (Route 93). Walk for about 1.5 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views of the mountains and fjord. You will reach a small bridge over a river. Cross the bridge and continue along the road for another 1 kilometer. Keep an eye out for a sign indicating the path to Gljúfurfoss; it will be on your right. Take the marked trail that leads up to the waterfall, which is approximately a 10-15 minute hike uphill.

Biking

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle in Seydisfjordur. Begin at the town center and ride along Seyðisfjarðavegur (Route 93) heading east. The distance is about 2.5 kilometers to reach the trailhead for Gljúfurfoss. Look for the sign pointing to Gljúfurfoss on your right. Secure your bike at the trailhead and follow the path up to the waterfall, which should take about 10-15 minutes. Remember to wear a helmet and be cautious of the road traffic.
