If you're traveling by car, head towards the town of Grundarfjörður. From Reykjavik, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) towards Borgarnes, then take Route 54 towards Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Continue on Route 54 until you reach Grundarfjörður. Once in Grundarfjörður, follow the signs directing you to Kirkjufell. The viewpoint is located at WQPW+287, which you can enter into your GPS. There is no entrance fee to access the viewpoint.

To reach Kirkjufell Viewpoint using public transportation, take a bus from Reykjavik to Grundarfjörður. Check the schedules for Strætó, the local bus service, as they may vary by season. Upon arriving in Grundarfjörður, you will need to walk approximately 2 km to the viewpoint. Follow the main road north along the coast, and look for signs pointing towards Kirkjufell. Be aware that the walk may take around 30 minutes, and ensure to check the bus return schedule for your return trip.
