Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Reykjanesbær. Head south on Route 43 towards Grindavík. After approximately 10 km, take the exit onto Route 427 towards the Blue Lagoon. Continue on Route 427 for about 8 km until you reach Route 41. Turn left onto Route 41 and continue for about 5 km. Then turn right onto Route 427 again, following the signs to Gunnuhver. After about 6 km, you will see signs for Gunnuhver Volcano. The final location is R878+6FW, 241, where you can park your car nearby.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can take a bus from Reykjavik to Grindavík. Check the schedules with local bus services, such as Strætó, as they may vary. Once you arrive in Grindavík, you will need to take a taxi or arrange a rideshare service to Gunnuhver Volcano, which is approximately 10 km away. Be sure to confirm the fare with the taxi driver before starting your journey.
