Private Golden Circle Tour from Reykjavik Cruise Terminal

Glorious Golden Circle

Nordur Travel have been fantastic from start to finish. We did a small group tour with them from our cruise ship. We booked a year in advance and the communication was always quick and easy. Our cruise company then changed the itinerary which meant we had to change things in our trip and I was concerned that we wouldn't fit it all in and get back to our ship on time but they made it all happen. Our guide, Thomas was fabulous. We were picked up at the cruise terminal and headed straight to the Blue Lagoon, where Thomas waited for us. When donne there we did the Golden Circle tour but backwards, so starring with Kerid crater and ending at thingvellir national Park for the tectonic plates. Thomas gave us enough time at each stop to enable us to see everything and got us back to the ship on time for departure. I cannot express how grateful we are to him and Nordur.

Private 7 hour Cruise/Airport Transfer and Tour

Outstanding First day in Iceland

Iceland Odyssey Private Tour with Vladi: An Unforgettable First Day in Iceland I recently had an incredible experience with Iceland Odyssey on our first day in Iceland, and I can’t recommend them enough—especially if you’re looking for a personalized, flexible tour. We arrived at Keflavík Airport at 6:15 AM, feeling a bit jet-lagged but excited to dive right into exploring. Our guide, Vladi, picked us up at 8 AM, but in hindsight, I’d highly suggest opting for a 7 AM pickup if your flight lands around that time—it gives you a little more buffer to freshen up and start the day without rushing. Vladi customized our Golden Circle tour entirely “our way,” which made it feel so special and efficient. We hit all the major highlights: the stunning waterfalls (Gullfoss was a standout), the impressive Kerid crater, and even some off-the-beaten-path spots that Vladi suggested on the fly. One highlight was stopping at the Fridheimar tomato farm for lunch—don’t miss this place! The fresh, greenhouse-grown tomatoes and unique setting were a delightful surprise, and the food was fantastic. We wrapped up the day at the Sky Lagoon, which is absolutely beautiful with its geothermal waters and ocean views. That said, if you’re women in your 60s like us and visiting during happy hour, you might want to skip it or choose a quieter time—the vibe can get a bit lively and crowded, which wasn’t ideal for unwinding after a full day. Throughout the tour, Vladi was patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about Iceland’s history, geology, and hidden gems. He made everything seamless, and his enthusiasm was contagious. We paid for a private one-day tour, and it was worth every penny—especially the convenience of being picked up straight from the airport. It maximized our time, allowing us to pack in so much without feeling overwhelmed. Even at the end, when I panicked thinking I’d lost my credit card, Vladi offered to drive back to the Sky Lagoon to check without hesitation. We got back to our hotel around 6:30 PM, exhausted but exhilarated from a phenomenal first day. If you’re planning a trip to Iceland, go with Iceland Odyssey. They’re flexible, expert, and let you tailor the experience to your pace and interests. Whether it’s your first day or any day, a private tour with Vladi is the way to go—I’ll only recommend them from now on!

City Sightseeing Reykjavik Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour: 24 or 48-Hour

Great way to tour Reykavik

Bought tickets on line before we got to Iceland. Used QR code when boarding. Very easy. Stops at all the best places to tour city. They give you a city map with special interest spots highlighted. Had the option to plug into headsets to listen to audio guide. Had a stop at our hotel Hilton Reykavik, so easy to find.
