If you're driving from the town of Selfoss, take Route 1 (Ring Road) heading northwest. Continue on Route 1 for about 50 km until you reach the outskirts of Reykjavík. Take the exit towards Suðurlandsbraut (Route 49). Follow Suðurlandsbraut and then turn left onto Bústaðavegur. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Laugardal. Turn right onto Laugardal and follow it until you see signs for Skarfabakki Harbour. The harbour will be on your left, near the address 544P+F35, 104 Reykjavík.

To reach Skarfabakki Harbour using public transportation from Reykjavík city center, start at the Hlemmur bus station. Take bus number 14, which heads towards Laugardalur. Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes and get off at the stop called 'Laugardalur'. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk. Head east on Laugardal towards the coast. Follow the waterfront until you arrive at Skarfabakki Harbour, located at 544P+F35, 104 Reykjavík.

If you are coming from Þorlákshöfn, head north on Route 38 and merge onto Route 1 (Ring Road) towards Reykjavík. After about 30 km, take the exit for Suðurlandsbraut (Route 49).
