If you're driving to the Sun Voyager from anywhere in Southern Peninsula, head towards Route 1 (the Ring Road). Follow Route 1 north until you reach the intersection with Route 49. Take Route 49 towards Reykjavík. As you approach the city, continue straight until you reach Sæbraut. The Sun Voyager is located directly along the waterfront on Sæbraut. There is parking available near the sculpture.
Public Transportation
To reach the Sun Voyager using public transportation, take a bus from your location in Southern Peninsula to Reykjavík. Buses operated by Strætó connect various towns in Southern Peninsula to Reykjavík. Once you arrive at the Reykjavík Bus Terminal (BSÍ), you can take bus line 14 or 1 towards Sæbraut. Get off at the stop 'Sæbraut' or 'Harpa' and walk along the waterfront. The Sun Voyager is located about a 10-minute walk from either stop along the scenic coastal path.
