    If you are driving, head towards the city center of Reykjavík. From the main road (Þjóðvegur 1), take the exit to 'Reykjavík' and follow the signs to the city center. Continue straight onto Hringbraut, then take a left onto Fríkirkjuvegur. After a few blocks, turn right onto Laugavegur. Continue along Laugavegur for about 1.5 km. Old Iceland is located at Laugavegur 72, on your left-hand side. There is limited street parking available, so be prepared to find a spot or park in nearby facilities. Note that parking may incur costs, typically around 200 ISK per hour.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Old Iceland using public transportation, you can take the bus from various locations in Reykjavík. Check the Reykjavík City Transport website or app for the latest schedules. Routes 1, 3, and 6 all have stops close to Laugavegur. If you are starting from the central bus station (BSÍ), take bus 1 towards 'Háholt' and get off at the 'Laugavegur / Hátún' stop. From there, it's a short walk down Laugavegur for approximately 300 meters. Old Iceland will be on your left at Laugavegur 72. A single bus ticket costs around 490 ISK.
