Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the main town in the Southern Peninsula, such as Keflavik. Take Route 41 towards Reykjavik and then merge onto Route 43. Continue on Route 43 until you reach the junction with Route 1 (the Ring Road). Take Route 1 heading south. After approximately 15 km, take the exit towards Vatnsleysustrandarvegur. Drive along Vatnsleysustrandarvegur for about 5 km. Staðarborg will be on your right. Look for the historical landmark signs to guide you.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, take a bus from Keflavik to Reykjavik. From Reykjavik, board a bus headed towards the Southern Peninsula. The bus will stop at various locations along the route, including stops near Vatnsleysustrandarvegur. Make sure to inform the bus driver that you wish to get off at the stop closest to Vatnsleysustrandarvegur. From the bus stop, you will need to walk about 1 km along Vatnsleysustrandarvegur to reach Staðarborg.
