From Reykjavik, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading east. After approximately 130 kilometers, turn onto Route 261 towards Þjórsárdalur. Continue on Route 261 for about 25 kilometers, then turn right onto a gravel road (Fagrifoss Road) leading to Fagrifoss. Drive carefully as the road can be rough. Follow the road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the parking area for Fagrifoss. The waterfall is a short walk from the parking area.
