Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Reykjavík from any location in the Southern Region. Use Route 1 (the Ring Road) and follow the signs for Reykjavík. Once you enter the city, you will want to take a left turn onto Sæbraut, which will become Fríkirkjuvegur. Continue straight until you reach Hallgrímstorg 1, where Hallgrimskirkja is located. There is limited street parking available around the church, and you may incur parking fees, typically around 200 ISK per hour.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from your location in the Southern Region to Reykjavík. The main bus station in Reykjavík is BSI. From BSI, you can catch Bus Line 14, which will take you directly to Hallgrímstorg. The fare for a single bus ride is approximately 490 ISK. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary depending on the time of day.
Walking
Once you arrive at Hallgrímstorg via car or bus, Hallgrimskirkja is easily accessible on foot.
