After parking, follow the marked trail to Svartifoss, which is about a 1.5-kilometer walk. The trail is well maintained but can be steep in sections, so wear appropriate footwear.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Reykjavik to Skaftafell. Bus services are available through companies like Reykjavik Excursions or Sterna. The journey usually takes about 4-5 hours. Once you arrive at the Skaftafell bus stop, you will need to walk to the park entrance.
