Car
If you are traveling by car, begin your journey from the nearest main road, Route 1 (the Ring Road). Drive onto Route 26 towards the Highlands. After approximately 60 kilometers, take the exit towards Route 32 and continue onto Route 1. Follow Route 1 until you reach the junction with Route 35. Take Route 35, which leads you deeper into the Highlands. Continue on Route 35 for about 40 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for Panorama Ridge. Turn onto the gravel road and follow the signs to the parking area.

Public transportation options are limited in the Highlands. The best bet is to catch a bus from Reykjavik to Hella or Hvolsvöllur. From Hella or Hvolsvöllur, you can take a local bus service towards the Highlands. Make sure to check the local bus schedules in advance, as they may not run frequently.
