From the parking area, you will need to hike approximately 2 kilometers along the marked trails to reach Básar Hut & campsite. Look for signs directing you to Básar as you walk, and enjoy the scenic beauty of the area.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Reykjavik to Þórsmörk. The bus companies, such as Reykjavik Excursions or Sterna, operate daily services during the summer months.
