From any location in the Western Region, head towards Road 54 (Borgarnes). Follow Road 54 until you reach Route 1 (the Ring Road). Take Route 1 south towards Reykjavik. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 60 km until you reach the turnoff to Route 574 leading to Arnarstapi. Follow Route 574 for about 15 km until you arrive in Arnarstapi. Once in the village, follow signs towards Gatklettur, which is located just a short walk from the main parking area.
