By Car
From Ísafjörður, take Route 61 towards Suðureyri. After about 25 km, turn left onto Route 63 towards Hesteyri. Continue on Route 63 for approximately 26 km, following the signs for Hesteyri. Once you reach Hesteyri, look for Læknishúsið at 401 Hesteyri. There is limited parking available, so be mindful of where you park.
By Public Transport
First, take a bus from Ísafjörður to Suðureyri using the local bus services. Buses typically run several times a day. Once in Suðureyri, you will need to arrange for a taxi or local transport to Hesteyri, as public transport does not go directly there. The taxi ride from Suðureyri to Hesteyri will take about 20-30 minutes. Ensure to book the taxi in advance, as services may be limited.
By Hiking
For adventurous travelers, you can hike to Hesteyri from the surrounding areas. If you are in the vicinity of the Hornstrandir Nature Reserve, you can find trails leading to Hesteyri.
