Be sure to wear sturdy shoes as the trails can be uneven.

If using public transportation, catch a local bus from the main town center of Heimaey. Buses frequently run towards Stórhöfði, and the trip will take around 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Stórhöfði stop, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach Puffin Lookout. There will be signs directing you along the path. Note that bus fare is typically around 1,500 ISK (Icelandic Krona) for a single trip.
