The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes, and you'll need to purchase a ticket at the terminal, which typically costs around 2,500 ISK for a car and 1,500 ISK per passenger. Once you arrive at Heimaey, follow the road signs to Stórhöfði, which is located on the southern tip of the island.
