From the nearest large town, Burley, ID, take US-30 E for about 30 miles until you reach the junction with ID-77 N. Turn onto ID-77 N and continue for approximately 12 miles. Follow signs to Almo and then to City of Rocks National Reserve. The roads are generally well-maintained, but be aware that some parts may be narrow and winding.

Public transportation options are limited in this remote area. If you're coming from a larger city like Boise or Twin Falls, consider taking a bus to Burley (Greyhound or local transit). From Burley, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a rideshare service to get to City of Rocks National Reserve, which is about a 30-minute drive away. For the adventurous, biking to City of Rocks National Reserve can be a rewarding experience. If you're coming from Almo, it's about 10 miles to the reserve.
