If you are in East End, start by heading south towards E Warm Springs Ave. Walk along E Warm Springs Ave until you reach S Capitol Blvd. Turn left onto S Capitol Blvd and continue walking until you reach the intersection with W Main St. Then, turn right onto W Main St. Follow W Main St until you reach Julia Davis Dr. The Idaho State Museum will be on your right at 610 Julia Davis Dr. The entire walk is approximately 1.5 miles and should take about 30-35 minutes.
Public Bus
From East End, you can catch the ValleyRide bus at the nearest stop on E Warm Springs Ave. Board the Route 3 bus heading towards Boise State University. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop labeled 'Julia Davis Park.' From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the Idaho State Museum. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as they may vary throughout the day. A one-way fare is approximately $1.50.
Biking
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services available in East End. Start by heading towards E Warm Springs Ave, then take the bike path along the road. Merge onto S Capitol Blvd and continue biking until you reach W Main St. Turn right onto W Main St, and then take a left onto Julia Davis Dr. The museum will be on your right. The bike ride is about 1.5 miles and should take around 10-15 minutes.
