If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Ponderosa State Park. Head south on Park Road for about 1 mile. Then, turn right onto the road leading to the northern area of the park. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Scheline Lane. Turn left onto Scheline Lane and continue for about 0.5 miles. You will find Lil Johnson Pond on your right side, marked by a small parking area.
